About this deal

Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven. In modern times the pentagram and pentacle are very popular symbols in the wiccan and neo-pagan paths. For an ancient observer, the phenomena would have seemed like a solid had melted and started to burn with an otherworldly flame. The bagua and trigrams are referenced throughout Chinese astronomy, astrology, geography, geomancy, anatomy, martial arts, Chinese medicine and various other cultural aspects. And on that day were two monsters parted, a female monster named Leviathan, to dwell in the abysses of the ocean over the fountains of the waters.

Sulfur, with its characteristic odor of rotting eggs, is the 10th most common element in the universe and the fifth most common on Earth, often associated with volcanic activity and lightning strikes. This symbol is discovered and generated by the Anton Lavey, he is the founder of the church of Satan. The region is not unfamiliar with seismic tremors and there have been major earthquakes in recent times. Gesenius (among others) argued the name לִוְיָתָן was derived from the root לוה lwh "to twine; to join", with an adjectival suffix ן-, for a literal meaning of "wreathed, twisted in folds".

Official emblem of the Church of Satan, consisting of the head of a goat transfixed upon a reversed pentagram flanked by the Hebrew letters of the word " Leviathan" (לִוְיָתָן). Peter Binsfeld likewise classified Leviathan as the demon of envy, as one of the seven Princes of Hell corresponding to the seven deadly sins. That is perhaps the way Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan envisioned things when he adopted the Leviathan Cross as the symbol of his Church. In the Talmud Baba Bathra 75 it is told that the Leviathan will be slain and its flesh served as a feast to the righteous in [the] Time to Come and its skin used to cover the tent where the banquet will take place. While the inverted cross has become a very popular symbol of anti-Christian belief by many Satanists and other practitioners of Wicca and associated religions who see the inverted cross with a similar eye, the inverted cross is just as firmly a part of Christianity as the traditional cross.

The word Leviathan has come to refer to any sea monster, and from the early 17th century has also been used to refer to overwhelmingly powerful people or things (comparable to Behemoth, also a biblical term), influentially so by Hobbes' book (1651). However, pagans are most familiar with the oft-seen image of the horizontal ‘8’ as a snake eating its own tail. Ancient alphabet used throughout North Europe and prominent in Scandinavia, used in modern times by various religious faiths, such as Asatru.

In Manichaeism, an ancient religion influenced by Gnostic ideas, the Leviathan is killed by the sons of the fallen angel Shemyaza. Leviathan can also be used as an image of the devil, endangering both God's creatures—by attempting to eat them—and God's creation—by threatening it with upheaval in the waters of Chaos. The novel is about a group of British boys who are stranded on an island with nothing but their knowledge of human civilization. The general way people see things is that if a symbol is inverted, the resulting shape must indicate the opposite of the original meaning.

This represents that every single person has free will, and when encountering crossroads in their personal life, they are able to freely make their own decisions. Theistic Satanists may worship it as a deity or demon, while atheistic Satanists see it as a metaphorical symbol. It is believed that the eternity symbol had been chosen by Anton LaVey in the Satanic Bible, to be a mockery of the cross — as a large part of the Church of Satan’s ideology, considers that humans are able to find balance and truth within themselves. Job 41:1–34 is dedicated to describing him in detail: "Behold, the hope of him is in vain; shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? The symbol is also often worn by Christians who believe that wearing the original cross shape is disrespectful.

As symbol, it was incorporated into the Greek Tetractys by Jewish Kabbalistic occult tradition as an evolving arrangement of ten letters. It is said Wallis used the lemniscate because the Roman glyph for the numeral ‘1000’ was CIƆ, or CƆ, a representation that could be used to signify anything in large quantities. Parallels to the role of Mesopotamian Tiamat defeated by Marduk have long been drawn in comparative mythology, as have been wider comparisons to dragon and world serpent narratives such as Indra slaying Vrtra or Thor slaying Jörmungandr.
